Important:
For maximum success we recommend you get an overview of these basic link and embed code options
so you'll know which is best to apply for any given situation. For installing the embed and link text or button
codes, we recommend you use your favorite HTML Source editor. LicenseQuote.com is optimized for best results with the latest Internet Explorer and FireFox browsers.
1. Embed code
Your website will normally accept our standard embed code which displays your store directly on your page like this:
The embed code you enter in the body of your HTML source page looks like this:
Important: Replace our demo
store id with your own Store widget id code.
Tip: This works best on your own web site and from most musician's hosting services such as
Bandzoogle, Broadjam, Hostbaby and IndieKazoo, etc. which offer full support for Javascript
and CSS.
2. HTML Link with text label
MySpace and most social networking sites work best with a complete "a href", HTML Link with text label.
The basic link with text label displays like this: Rock Stars Express Licensing Store
The link code you enter into your MySpace "HTML code" area looks like this:
Tip: This text link will also work on your own web page, emails and most sites that allow outbound links.
If you wish, you can also associate a graphic image (banner) with your LicenseQuote widget link.
Use your favorite HTML source code editor to add an image and apply your link.
3. Simple Link
Our basic link code (URL) works on most promo pages like CD Baby, OurStage, PureVolume and SoundClick.
They provide you with Link entry fields where you can type or paste in your link code which looks like this:
Reminder: Replace our sample store id with your own generated widget id code.
4. Popup link button
This option opens a new window with your LQ store hosted by LicenseQuote.com
The link button displays like this wherever you place it on your page:
The Link button code in the body of your HTML source page looks like this:
Tip: You can customize the button label (input value and pixel width) and other options by changing the
code text in your HTML source page.
5. Link and Embed code combo
Button and popup table page option.
First install a link button code (as shown above) in the body of your HTML page which will display like this:
Now point the link in the code to your designated popup page and in that page's source enter your table and embed code.
Your store embed code should be pasted into the table in the body of your popup page:
Tip: You can customize the table with your own text, colors or decorate with your own
background image, etc.
Again, be sure to use your own widget id code and NOT the demo numbers shown above.
These instructions and examples will help you get the most from your LicenseQuote service.
